Terms & Conditions

Welcome to TMR Express Courier. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before shipping with us.

1. Shipping Rates

Our shipping charges are based on the actual or billable weight of each package.

Packages over 10 lbs will be quoted based on weight and dimensions.

2. Weight Policy

• Charges are based on the greater of the actual weight or dimensional (volumetric) weight.

• All weights are rounded up to the next whole pound.

  • Example:

    • 2.1 lbs = Charged as 3 lbs

    • 5.7 lbs = Charged as 6 lbs

3. Payment

• Shipping fees must be paid before packages are released.

• Payments may be made using our approved payment methods.

• Outstanding balances must be cleared before additional packages are collected.

4. Package Collection

Customers must present valid identification when collecting packages.

If someone else is collecting on your behalf, authorization may be required.

5. Storage Policy

Packages should be collected promptly after notification.

Packages remaining uncollected for 14 days may incur storage fees.

Packages left unclaimed for an extended period may be disposed of or handled according to applicable laws after reasonable notice has been given.

6. Prohibited Items

TMR Express Courier does not accept or transport prohibited or illegal items, including but not limited to:

• Firearms or ammunition

• Illegal drugs

• Explosives

• Hazardous chemicals

• Counterfeit products

• Flammable materials

• Live animals

• Perishable goods (unless specifically approved)

• Any item prohibited by Jamaican or international law

Customers are responsible for ensuring shipped items comply with all applicable regulations.

7. Customs & Duties

Customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, government charges, or inspection fees imposed by Jamaican Customs are not included in our shipping rates and are the responsibility of the customer.

8. Inspection of Packages

For security and customs compliance:

• Packages may be opened and inspected.

• Customers may be required to provide invoices or proof of purchase.

• Suspicious packages may be reported to the relevant authorities.

9. Delivery Times

Estimated shipping times are provided as a guide only.

Delays may occur due to:

• Weather

• Airline schedules

• Customs inspections

• Public holidays

• Events beyond our control

TMR Express Courier is not liable for delays caused by third parties or force majeure events.

10. Lost or Damaged Packages

While every effort is made to handle packages carefully:

• Customers should inspect packages before leaving our office.

• Claims for missing or damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of collection.

• Compensation, where applicable, will not exceed the declared value or the limits established by TMR Express Courier unless additional insurance has been purchased.

11. Packaging Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring items are properly packaged by the sender.

TMR Express Courier is not liable for damage resulting from:

• Poor packaging

• Manufacturer defects

• Fragile items not properly protected

12. Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

TMR Express Courier is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect shipping addresses or incomplete customer information.

13. Abandoned Packages

Packages abandoned for an extended period after repeated collection notices may be sold or disposed of to recover storage and administrative costs where permitted by law.

14. Privacy

Customer information is used solely for shipping, customs processing, customer service, and legal compliance.

We do not sell or share customer information except where required by law or necessary to complete the shipping process.

15. Limitation of Liability

TMR Express Courier shall not be liable for:

• Delays beyond our control

• Customs seizures

• Confiscated prohibited goods

• Natural disasters

• Airline disruptions

• Government actions

• Consequential or indirect losses, including lost profits

16. Changes to Rates and Policies

Shipping rates and these Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time without prior notice. The current version published by TMR Express Courier will apply to future shipments.

Customer Agreement

By shipping with TMR Express Courier, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including all pricing, shipping policies, and applicable customs regulations.
